One of our customers has been involved with a channel five documentary The Big Body Squad. Ed Sawyer has been a customer for a number of years first coming to our little shop behind the Blinking Owl Cafe. Recent years has seen Ed's health deteriorate to the point where he was almost house bound. We sent some goods to Ed mail order which didn't get delivered on the day he needed. So Mark went to the courier to collect the parcel that night so he could take the parcel to Ed direct. Mark was shocked to see how Ed's condition had affected his life. After a few visits the pair became good friends. Ed's treatment then took a more productive course. Having weight loss surgery Ed's life changed dramatically. While having the treatment Ed was asked if he would like to take part in the documentary. This program has helped Ed so much.
Ed was then asked about where he gets his clothes from by the program makers. Bigclobber.com being local, Ed took the filming crew to our shop in Rayleigh.
