Sorry we haven't updated this page for sometime. As some of you maybe aware we have been very busy upgrading the shop and setting up a new stock system, which means bar coding all our stock. This is nearly complete but was a huge task. Having all this extra workload caused a number of issues with stock and delivery for our mail order and internet customers. We found it very difficult to cope with upgrading stock showing on the old site as this has to be done manually and with nearly two thousand items to keep updated it became a bit of a mess for a time. We have now caught up with this back log and although we are still using the old site, having the new stock system in place has helped keep control. It’s not perfect yet but a lot better than it was. We apologize for all the inconveniences these problems caused but hope you all understand that this had to de done to improve our service to you all.
Soon there will be a new site where the stock showing will be real time and updated automatically. This will clear the way to treating with the service we used to have. We are already seeing the benefits and there’s a lot more to come.
We have plans to develop the shoes and tall garments in a big way too. Before we just could get round to doing this. With this new system freeing up more time we should see these areas grow in the next few months.
We are also looking to do a hard copy catalogue. Something we always wanted to do. Again with our new organized state this will be within our reach.
We are still moving to develop more of our label garments and have now an in house embroidery and printing department. This gives us the ability to design and test the market with exclusive garments.
So even though trade has been tough the last few months we are very excited about the future of bigclobber.com. Yes that’s the other thing; we have started to use bigclobber.com as our trading name. We are still Sizedwell Clothing Ltd but Bigclobber.com has a certain ring to it and easy to remember.

As promised we have added at least 50 new styles to the site. You will not believe how many more lines there are still to arrive. These will be added over the next coming weeks.
These are exciting times for us here at Sizedwell. We have now invested in an embroidery machine and some printing equipment, so soon we will be able to personalize mostly anything we sell. We should be ready sometime in May.
We are also going to add an Epos system in the shop which will work along side the web site. As some of you are aware we do have problems keeping control of the stock showing on the site. With any luck the site will be up to date 99% of the time. It will also give us some scope to do more special offers.
We are also planning to promote our web site and shop at outside advents such as show grounds and advents like Truck Fest. This will give our customers who live further away a chance to meet us face to face, I'm sure we will have some goodies for you there too.
Some of you have asked how we are getting on with the football and rugby club team shirts. In truth this is proving a night mare. Most of the clubs feel there isn't a big enough market to develope bigger sizes. However there is a few we are working with. This will take time and a lot of effort but we will get there in the end.
There is a chance we can do retro football team tops and we can even get Australian rugby team tops, it would be nice to know your feelings about these?
Not forgetting our bus trips to the shop. This will be very useful for lots of our customers who may not drive. We really need people to let us know though so as we can sort out where the buses will be best run. So please e-mail me on mark@sizedwell.co.uk

Idol 2008
Tree “o” from Rayleigh has now made it through to the regional finals, previously battling through competitive auditions to reach the regional final competition of Idol 2008.
At this moment, Tree”o” Dance Group is one impressive performance away from making it to the Grand National final, in a bid to be crowned the UK’s Idol 2008.
Idol 2008 is the music and dance competition for singers, vocal groups and now for dancers and dance groups to enter. 2007 was the competitions third year, with over 10,000 applicants entering. This makes the competition the largest talent contest outside a certain ITV show, searching for the cream of the UK’s talent.
The competition offers singers and dancers the opportunity to perform live in front of large audiences as well as the chance to win up to £25,000 in prizes if crowned the UK’s Idol 2008. The competition poses fantastic opportunities to not only develop performance skills and personal ability, but to expose competitor’s talent. The latter stages of the competition provide competitors with the opportunity to impress the judges and many guests from record labels, agencies and the entertainment industry.
Dane Bowers, who anchored the R&B quartet Another Level, and previous Idol Judge comments; ‘This competition gives everyone a great opportunity to show what they can do. The only way to see if you're any good! Because if your mum says your great, you think your great but here there are a few more to impress’. Fellow judge Chris Grayston, head of A&R at Future Music, comments; ‘The competition gives talented acts great opportunities and exposure as well as the opportunity to have a single released with Future music and a UK tour’.
One contestant who has evidently caught their eye is local talent Tree”o”, now competing for a place in the National finals, with the possibility of grabbing that break through recording contract from over 10,000 that have applied for this years competition. The vocal winners will receive a range of prizes including, for the winning act, the prize of a recording contract to release their single with the aim to nationally chart. The dance winners will go on a UK tour and appear in the video for the vocal winner’s single.
If Tree “o” continues with their success, they could be crowned the UK’s 2008 Idol in front of a capacity crowd at the national Final in November. They will additionally be thrust into the media spotlight through television, radio and the press and furthermore all winners will all be invited on the UK Idol Tour.
Tree”0” will be competing amongst other talented hopefuls at the regional final show held at Ipswich on the 19th for a place in the National Grand final.

Another year, our sales are just about to take hold. We have reduce nearly 200 lines some as much as 50% off!! Although we have moved into this massive shop, we have a problem with room again. So we need to clear some stock to allow room for the new summer range on its way.

Hello everyone. Just a quick note to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. The site is over flowing with new exciting lines and shops packed with goodies too. If you intend to order before Christmas please order as quickly as possible to avoid disappointment. The cut of date for standard Royal Mail deliveries is the 18th December. However we will send orders after this date with the hope of delivery.
As for Next Day ANC parcels, the 20th December is the last date we feel parcels will arrive at their destination before Christmas. Again we will send parcels out on the Friday 21st at your request, but because of the weekend and then Monday being Christmas eve there is a good chance these may end up being delivered after the big day.
We will be open for a good many days throughout the the holidays so don't forget to visit us if you can.

Well its nearly Christmas time again and you'll be pleased to hear we now have a large stock of Winter coats available aswell as jumpers, fleeces etc. We also have some good news for you, Ben Sherman is now in stock! It has been a real hit with the customers in the shop and we are getting a lot of good feed back. To celebrate the fact we have Ben Sherman in our store we have been fortunate to obtain an original 1963 Vesper which will be on display on the shop floor in a couple of weeks! As soon as we do i will of course put some pictures on the site for you all to see.
Also, we will be shortly having Lee Cooper on board. I will obviously keep you updated with developments with that.
Some of you may have noticed the site has changed slightly. We have tried to change the design to make it easier for you to order. If you have any suggestions or comments please let us know as we are always pleased to hear your views!

What a busy month we have had. We have lost count of the new lines we have had in these last few weeks. The shock on our customers faces when the walk through the door is pleasing. The weather hasn't helped sales though. However we have had a fantastic time with our waterproofs, these have been a winner. As most of you know we always try to carry over summer lines through the winter, because of the winter holidays overseas. This year there will be lots of summer stock, so no one should miss out.
It's been great to see some of the long term customers from the old shop coming in the new shop for the first time. We also welcome the many new customers we have pick up over the last few months.
Don't forget Ben Sherman will be sending our first ever range soon.

Although we still have one of, if not the biggest, range of clothing for the larger person, we have had a few supply problems this year due to
Manufacturing quantities and a major player, in the industry, going into liquidation.
We are now about to put things right by having our own label goods in the shop and online the first week in July 2007. These will make a huge difference to our range.

Sale Must End Soon
This years sale is now coming to an end. However there will be some extra reductions to clear the last few bits. So don't miss out! The spring lines are arriving every day so as soon as the sale has finished there will be a brand new look.

Happy new year everyone.
Lots of you have asked when we will be having a sale. Many of you know this was difficult at the old shop but here, in the new shop, we have the room to do something special. However the main part of the sale will not be until begining to mid Feb. We are active now in sorting the stock we will be clearing by reducing. Some of these lines will showing in the shop from January. So it will be worth a visit from now on.

Well it's been a few weeks now in the new place. We have nearly got everything moved from the old shop. It's been a bit of a mission to be honest, we didn't realise how much stock we had.

The date for the big move is Friday 22nd September 2006. The old shop will be open for a few weeks just to help the customers who have missed our adverts. But from the 22nd September the new shop will have the biggest range of clothes you will ever see. We look forward to seeing you all there.

At last we can tell our customers that we have secured much larger premises to move into in September. The date hasn't been set yet but this should be the begining to mid September 2006. The Address is 40 Stadium Way, Near The Rayleigh Weir, behind Sainsburys. We are in between the three tile shops (Magic Tiles, The Tile Shop, And Topps Tiles) on the right hand side. All our phone numbers will be the same.
The shop will be much larger than the present shop and will give us the space to display our goods in a better way than we do now. This new place will be one of the biggest shops in the UK selling larger clothes.
Please keep an eye on our e-mails, this news page, Essex Radio, local press and at our old shop, for the date we open.

We have some important developments happening in the next two months. So please keep an eye on us for news. All our local customers should listen and read the media in anticipation of the good news. If you live out side the area please keep looking on the site for updates.
Please make sure you have changed your e-mail addresses and home addresses if they have changed. If you haven't please update your details on the site. You can do this on the mid top left hand side of any page, select customer services and then select change address details. This is important if you don't want to miss out on the new happenings!!
There will be some very important changes to the site as well. We will be updating this over the coming weeks and although the main site will look much the same as before there will be extra features which will help make ordering easier.
Lots of new lines have been added over the spring season and we are still having new stock in every day. As some of you may be aware, a main supplier in the outsize men's trade has gone into liquidation, which will cause a few shortages in certain garments. We are going to step up our own production in these areas to help keep the big person clothed. But there will be problems in the industry next summer.
The shop has been very busy the last two months. Sometimes this can be difficult both for the staff and you the customer. We try hard to serve everyone in turn and as quickly as possible and find all what you need. Please bear with us at this busy time.
Also we have been very busy on the net too. Again we are doing our best, but at times we have found ourselves 1-2 days behind. Our aim is to send orders out the same day as we get them, even the standard deliveries. We always give express deliveries preference over standard when picking the orders. This means we always will send express out the same working day. Please note orders do not leave here on Saturdays or Sundays as no one collects for couriers or Royal Mail. Please again be patient with us. All our staff give 100% all of the time and are loyal to our nice customers and conscientious in there work. But sadly we are human and mistakes do happen. If things go wrong we will always try to put it right.
Most of our customers are great, we are treated like friends by them and we know a big proportion of them on personal first name terms. At times when we are busy in the shop the regulars help and serve any new customers. Not many shops can boast about that.
Rudeness and shouting is not a good way of getting what you want from my staff. Understanding and politeness goes all the way to the core and gets results. At the end of the day we are here to please and most of the time we do.
Like I said earlier lots of things are happening here over the next few months. Our customers will benefit no end from this, so keep an eye on what's happening.
We also would like to welcome two new lads called Mitchell and Richard who you will see in the shop and speak to on the phone.

Here we go again with the Christmas rush. We have added lots of new lines over the last few weeks so the choice now is beyond belief.
August 2005
We welcome two more members of staff. We now have Lisa and Dan with us to help us keep up with the ever increasing orders. James has now left. I have to say this year is the first time where we have been more than two days behind with our orders. We have now caught up with them. Our aim is to send out every order the same day as we receive them. Except Saturday and Sundays which we go out on Monday.
We have lot's of new stock to be added to the site in the next few weeks.

As you can see, not much has been said on this page over the last few months. I have been so busy I just haven't had time to add anything. Right now we have over 400 garments showing on the site. What a choice, but we plan to add even more. We have a new member of our team. We welcome James to our company.

7th March 2003 - New Server
Due to the increase in traffic and the amount of products now available on the site, we have now invested in our own dedicated server to increase the speed and availability of the sizedwell site.

12th September 2002 - Our new web site goes live!
Our new web site is now live, the layout and look has been kept much the same as our regular customers like it this way. The differences are that the order process is much easier and items are displayed in two tiers, a small picture with order info for those who know what they want to re-order and by clicking on the picture you can view more detailed info on the garment.
Once you have registered, your details are saved for future shopping experiences to make purchasing quicker and easier, you can also log into your account area by clicking on "Customer Service" and view the current process of your order, and also send messages to the team here at Sizedwell regarding your order.
But the main reason for the new site is that the software that works behind the scenes is much faster and smarter, which will enable us to update and add items to the store on a regular bases.
